SEEKING BLACK WOMEN IS MEDIA, ART & DESIGN FOR OUR INTERN POSITIONS


Our current positions include the following 

FILM MAKING: PRODUCTION & EDITING 

Gain in the field experience with making films. Applicants must have a passion for visual narrative's & editing.  Within the fall semester one will work on various projects including : music videos, artist interviews, & shorts. Those that have an interest in documentary, afro-surrealism, afro-futurism and experimental film are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Technical requirements include: Knowledge of Mac platforms and software / Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and/or any relevant programs in Adobe Creative Suite / Any experience on set or in a professional setting is preferred / Working knowledge of photography is a plus

 

CREATIVE APPLICATION : FASHION & SET DESIGN

Gain a hands on understanding of the conceptualization to production process of design. Within this position one will exercise basic building and execution techniques for set design, while also learning non-traditional approaches to fashion & costume design. Within the fall semester one would apprentice the head design on various conceptual video & photo based projects. 

BRANDING & ARCHIVING : GRAPHIC & WEB DESIGN

This position is for those that have an interest in merging analog and digital design processes, developing virtual archives and working as an assistant art director on various creative projects. One would also assist in building web sites, creating and implementing brand strategies. 

Technical requirements: Proficient knowledge of web building platforms like Squarespace /
Working knowledge of Graphic Design Programs within the Adobe Creative Suite. / Any experience with brand development is preferred

All internships are a 15-20 hour per week commitment
